Description: The PLC-5.5 project compiled information on total nutrient inputs to the Baltic Sea. This dataset provides figures for the magnitude of total waterborne and airborne inputs of nitrogenand phosphorus into the different sub-basins of the Baltic Sea. The inputs originate from waterborne inputs from the coastal (HELCOM) countriesand upstream countries in the catchment area, as well as atmospheric inputs from Baltic Sea shipping and distant sources (air emissions originating from non-HELCOM countriesand North Sea shipping) in 2010.The figures are based on waterborne input data reporting by the HELCOM countries under the PLC-5.5 project and atmospheric input data modeled by EMEP (European Monitoring and Evaluation Programme under the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution, CLRTAP) based on emissions data reported by EMEP Contracting Parties.
